Preslav Borissov MEP invites citizens of Dobrich and Rousse to the European Parliament
A group of visitors from Dobrich and Rousse visited the European Parliament in Brussels at the invitation of the MEP Preslav Borissov (EPP / GERB) on 13 and 14 November, 2013. They were introduced to the functions and activities of the institution through a lecture "Introduction to the structure and work of the European Parliament " provided by the department of visits and seminars in the EP. They also had the opportunity to learn more about the work of the Bulgarian MEPs from the EPP (GERB) group, what their daily duties in Brussels are and what issues they work on.
The group visited and the audio-visual center of the European Parliament "Parlamentarium" which houses an interactive exhibition, presenting the history of the long and difficult road towards European integration. The Parlamentarium is the first visitor center, which operates in 23 languages, designed as innovative and entertaining multimedia facilities for adults and children, to allow citizens to experience the European Parliament in an unusual way, combining information, education and entertainment.
The visitors from Dobrich and Rousse had also the opportunity to discuss with the Preslav Borissov MEP and his team topics that interest them as Europeans.
In order to make the visit complete, the guests went sightseeing in the center of Brussels, enjoying attractions, which are part of the history and culture of the Belgian capital - the center of Europe.
